behavioral

The cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) was born and developed from the 70s onwards. The founder of cognitive therapy was A. Beck. Over time, cognitive therapy has used behavioral techniques becoming TCC. The cognitive theory is so called because it focuses its attention on the patient's thoughts on his beliefs. The TCC is based on the assumption that thoughts influence emotions and behavior. The thoughts are then "activated" by various situations.

EVENT -> Thoughts -> emotions, behavior

In the face of any situation, are activated in each person a series of thoughts that have consequences on the emotional state, behavior.

From the above it follows that emotions and behaviors influenced by their knowledge of people thinking the events or how they perceive them. It is therefore the situation to create tension or negative emotions but the way in which people interpret them.
